Damn, I was going to cancel the account with Jango. But they know me there (they have the demographic nailed) and when the 'unsubscribe' link took me to the page, there they were! The Beach Boys! Singing, "Don't Back Down", a song I've never heard before. Can't resist, have to keep the account. There is something about the Beach Boys, a talisman, a cure for the blues, the blahs, not much that's bad can happen under the sunny beams of those so light harmonies. They were coming from a place where bad shit didn't happen or the denial of that evil was absolute. If I don't think about it, it didn't happen. It rubs off, it rubs against you, a silver spoon that'll cure those boils. Nope, I guess Jango gets to stay on my email list, I'll put up with their spam for the huge favour of reminding me (as if I needed it) yet again, of the power of music. Rock on!
